Providence Health Care provides health care services to patients and residents from British Columbia, in partnership with VCH, PHSA and UBC. It is the provincial centre for the care of older British Columbians, and for people with heart and/or lung diseases; kidney disease; mental illnesses; HIV/AIDS; and urban health issues.

Vancouver Coastal Health provides community and acute care services to residents of Richmond, Vancouver, the North Shore, the Sea-to-Sky Corridor, the Sunshine Coast, Powell River, Bella Bella and Bella Coola. VCH also provides specialized, complex care and services for people throughout B.C.

The University of British Columbia's Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine offers a wide spectrum of education programs. It has research faculty located in nine research institutes across British Columbia, and clinical faculty members in hospitals within six health authorities across the province.
