Supporting the development and advancement of AI research and the use of AI in research at PHSA.
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Research Working Group (AIR-WG) provides thought leadership and guidance on new developments, opportunities and risks related to AI use by the PHSA research community. The AIR-WG serves as a forum for diverse parties involved and interested in developing or using AI in a healthcare research setting to come together in the spirit of learning, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.

Researchers are welcome to bring their research project ideas to the AI in Research Working Group for consultation and discussion. Please contact the AIR Working Group for more information.
The AIR Working Group provides support to PHSA's Research Ethics Boards to assess studies that incorporate the use of AI. The AIR Working Group includes membership from all PHSA Research Programs and partners in other Health Authorities to support provincial knowledge sharing.
- Principal investigators/researchers, trainees and staff from each of the PHSA research institutes, including the Women's Health Research Institute (WHRI), BC Children's Hospital Research Institute (BCCHR), BC Cancer, BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) and BC Mental Health and Substance Use Research Institute (BCMHSUS)
