BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH) BioBank

The BCCH BioBank allows researchers to access a collection of samples and data that have already been sourced, without needing to recruit participants prospectively or collect or process samples themselves.

With experience supporting PI-initiated studies as well as industry-sponsored clinical trials; services offered include sample processing, sample storage, patient recruitment, data collection, and data retrieval.

BC Cancer’s Tumour Tissue Repository (TTR)

As an active biobank, the TTR collects and stores human samples (for example: tissue, blood, fluids) and health information connected to these samples. Researchers looking for new ways to detect, treat, and prevent cancer, can apply to access samples and information that are stored to conduct research studies.

The TTR can provide biospecimens and data from its pre-assembled collection or through prospective custom collection services. Only de-identified biospecimens and data will typically be provided for use in research projects. Data can be provided at various levels of detail.

Visit the TTR or email bbrs@biobanking.org to access services and/or to learn more.
