For IT and telephone devices which are to be connected to, or installed on, a dedicated research network located at the BC Cancer - Cancer Research Centre, the BC Cancer - Genome Sciences Centre or the BC Children's Hospital Research Institute (hxxps://support.bcchr.ca), you need to coordinate the procurement and setup of IT devices through that site's research IT department.

If IT and telephony devices are to be connected to, or installed on, the PHSA network, you will need to coordinate the procurement of IT devices through PDHIS's Service Catalogue.

Alternatively, if you would like to connect to the PHSA Network with a device not procured through the PDHIS Service Catalogue, this would be deemed a non-standard request. You will need to submit an I-PASS request through the PDHIS Self Service portal.

All equipment/software/devices purchased using Fund 6 or 7 funds require prior approval by the Research Institute’s research IT department, even if they are not attached to any network or are using a different network such as UBC.
