Logistics & Supply Chain

PHSA Supply Chain is the sole contracting agent and manages all contracts for BC health authority goods, supplies, equipment and services with the exception of clinical and construction contracts.

PHSA Supply Chain offers many different types of job opportunities, including warehouse, office, delivery, and supervisory roles. These jobs require different types of experience and training, but working together as a team, each employee is highly adaptable and a multi-tasker, works through details to reach their goals, and is good at working with people.

Big numbers = lots of opportunity

Supply chain management processes over 925,000 orders with a value of over $2 billion annually in the form of 250 million products. They support 71 hospitals and care sites province-wide. Supply chain employs over 1,300 employees to support all six health authorities in B.C., with regional branch offices in each health authority.

Working with Supply Chain

Roles include members of the sourcing teams who procure supplies required for specialized care; to warehouse and logistics professionals who receive, store, and deliver supply products across the province; to in-hospital replenishment teams integrated into the clinical landscape within all B.C. hospitals; to licensed clinicians who bring their deep clinical knowledge to standardization initiatives. Each member from different business streams in Supply Chain works closely together to deliver the right products and services at the right price, to the right place, at the right time.

We hire for a wide variety of roles within Supply Chain operations, including:

  • Buyer, Supply Chain
  • Sourcing Analyst
  • Purchasing Clerk
  • Supply Chain Clinical Coordinator
  • Hospital Distribution Attendant
  • Area Supply Attendant
  • Warehouse, Inventory, Stocking and Stores Attendant
  • Stores and Distribution Attendance
  • Receiver, Shipper, Forklift Operator, In-Hospital Replenishment
  • Truck Driver

Opportunities can be both full-time and part-time (regular and temporary), as well as casual. Team members are hired to fill entry level roles, mid-level career positions, and senior / director level opportunities. Supply Chain team members are employed all over British Columbia, including (but not limited to): Lower Mainland (multiple locations), Victoria, Duncan, Parksville, Nanaimo, Courtenay, Williams Lake, Vernon, Kamloops, Kelowna, and Prince George.
