Serving children from birth to age 16, BC Children's is home to many specialized pediatric services available nowhere else in the province as well as many outpatient clinics that enable children to receive therapy, medical care and surgical treatment without an overnight stay.

Sunny Hill offers specialized services to children with disabilities, their families and communities throughout BC. Sunny Hill serves children from birth to age 19 with interdisciplinary assessment, diagnosis, consultation, referral, and, in select cases, treatment for children with complex disabilities.

Through the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute, BC Children's and Sunny Hill support research to advance knowledge and care for children, youth and their families, across BC and around the world. BC Children's and Sunny Hill are academic health centres affiliated with the University of British Columbia, and partner with many post-secondary institutions across the province.
